TS Cleaner and TS LPAR Anonymizer prepare your files. TS Import Small Dcollect and TS Import Big Dcollect load DCOLLECT data into a study. They have their own group below.
zPulse · Tools
Each tool opens a file or a folder and gives you charts and tables on one subject: channels, cache, mounts, MSU, space. Most come from the TS ControlCenter. This page lists all 25.
TS Cleaner and TS LPAR Anonymizer prepare your files. TS Import Small Dcollect and TS Import Big Dcollect load DCOLLECT data into a study. They have their own group below.
They read AddInfo files, CSV files or a tape workbook written by a scheduled study (or by EADM, EATM or EAMC). Each card says which file. A scheduled disk study writes the AddInfo folder in its report folder.
A tool holds no state and uses no database: the data you load does not survive a restart of the server.
How to read a card. The small line above the title says where the tool comes from. The tags give its category in the application (Disk, Tape or CPU) and what it reads: TXT is an RMF or CMF report, CSV and XLSX are files written by a study, Folder is a folder of files.
15 tools
Channels, cache, LCUs, volumes and datasets.
From TSChannelFICONAnalyzer (ControlCenter)
Channel utilisation, read and write MB/s, and FICON and zHPF operations per second, in 8 modes, for all LPARs or one.
From TS.SSIDAnalyzer (ControlCenter)
Cache read and write hit rates and the random and sequential split, by SSID and overall, in 7 modes including statistics.
From TS.AddInfo Reader (ControlCenter)
Opens a whole AddInfo folder at once in 7 views: Volume Summary, Front-End/Back-End Summary, I/O Summary, I/O Detail, Worst Volume Daily, LPAR Repartition and Leaderboard.
From TS.OpenExchange (ControlCenter)
LCU activity and FICON and zHPF channel activity, with open exchange, in LCU Activity, Channel Activity and Error Log tabs.
From TS.LcuSsidAssociation (ControlCenter)
Associates LCUs with SSIDs and charts the I/O activity by LCU and by SSID.
From TS.AsyncCache (ControlCenter)
Asynchronous cache pressure by SSID over time, as a number of tracks and a size in GB.
From TS.VolumeDataSharing (ControlCenter)
A consolidated list of the online volumes (volser, type, cylinders) across one or several reports, with counts by type and capacity.
Not in the ControlCenter catalogue
Read cache misses and tracks (bars) and bytes per HAAR or DAR request (lines), by SSID over time.
From TS IO Interrupts % TPI (ControlCenter)
I/O interrupt rate per CP and the share served as TPI, for all CPs or one, with zoom. The data comes from the CPU report; the application files the tool under Disk.
From TS CFW Utilization (ControlCenter)
Cache Fast Write read and write counters over time, with SSID and VOLSER trees for CFW disabled, enabled without values and enabled with values.
Not in the ControlCenter catalogue
A fast view of a very large DASD report: I/O stacked by LPAR, Resp, Conn, Disc, Iosq and Pend components, a raw grid, TP and batch statistics and CSV export.
From TS.FiconMonitoring (ControlCenter)
Channel performance in 6 views: usage per channel and per LPAR, disk read and write, tape read and write, and total read and total write per LPAR, with a channel filter.
From TS Big Data Analyze (ControlCenter)
DASD performance threshold alerts by LPAR, by period and by day: alert count by day, LPAR analysis and periods in alert count.
From TS.Analyze426 (ControlCenter), CMF only
I/O by dataset, job or volume, over 24 hours or as the sum of 15-minute intervals, with detail per volume, worst-dataset charts and CSV export.
From TS.Dcollect (ControlCenter)
Allocated and free space for all LPARs, per LPAR and for one LPAR, the 50 volumes with the highest variability, and fragmentation index by storage group and by volume, in 6 tabs.
5 tools
TS7700 statistics, virtual tape activity and tape capacity.
From TS.VehstatsReports (ControlCenter)
TS7700 statistics in 10 tabs: Analyze Settings, Read Write, Read Write Compare, AVG CPU Util, Mounts, Cache Total, Cluster Overview, Cache Throttling, Physical Mounts and Virtual Drives.
From TS.VirtualTapeIoActivity (ControlCenter)
Virtual tape I/O stacked by LPAR, with the Resp, Disc, Iosq, Pend and Conn components.
From TS.TapeMountAnalyzer (ControlCenter)

1 tool
MSU by CPC.
From TS.AddInfo.EAMC (ControlCenter)
MSU used, weights and defined capacity per CPC over time, in 5 tabs including MIPS.
4 tools
Four tools that prepare or load data. The application lists them under Disk.
From TS Cleaner (ControlCenter)
Cleans a CMF or RMF report: keeps the DASD or TAPE pages, rounds times to the half hour, limits to a time range, keeps active devices and splits by LPAR or by day.
From TS.LparAnonymizer (ControlCenter), narrower
Replaces the LPAR names in a folder of CMF or RMF reports with aliases of the same width, the same in every file, and returns a zip. Volsers, dataset and job names, storage groups and company names are not replaced.
Not in the ControlCenter catalogue
Opens the study dialog to import a small DCOLLECT extract and get the 6 DCOLLECT screens.
Not in the ControlCenter catalogue
Imports a large DCOLLECT listing at dataset level and lets you browse it by VOLSER.
