Tell us what you run
Which tools and versions, which LPARs and report folders, which schedules and mail recipients. A short call is enough.
We prepare the licence and the server
zPulse runs on your own server, as a service. Licence activation uses a request code and an activation code, so the server needs no internet access.
Point zPulse at your reports
zPulse reads the RMF, CMF and tape catalogue reports you already produce. In most cases the source folders stay the same.
Run both tools side by side
For a period we agree together, your current tool and zPulse analyse the same data. You compare the results before you decide anything.
Switch over
When the results match what you expect, your daily mail comes from zPulse. You switch the old tool off when you are ready, not before.
Train your team
Support and training come with the licence. We walk your teams through the new reports and the settings.

Before you decide
Will my current tool stop working?
No. Your current tools keep running while you migrate. We agree the end of the transition with you.
Do I need to change the reports I produce?
No. zPulse reads the RMF and CMF reports and the tape catalogues you already produce, and DCOLLECT extracts for the Space module.
What happens to my history?
zPulse builds its own history from its first run. The daily DASD and CPU mails chart up to 60 days of it. If you want to bring older studies across, ask us and we will look at what is possible.
Does zPulse send my data to Technical Storage?
No. zPulse runs on your own server. You decide what you share with us, for example for a study with an expert.
How long does a migration take?
It depends on how many LPARs and report folders you have, and on how long you want to run both tools. We give you a plan after the first call.
How much does it cost?
Support and training are included in the licence. Write to us for the terms that apply to your current agreement.
